De Holterberg is niet wat je van een bistro zou verwachten. Midden in het bos en met een adembenemend uitzicht, is dit restaurant stoer en romantisch tegelijk. Jeans kan, pak kan ook. In de zomer eet je hier op de veranda en als je geluk hebt komt er loslopend wild voorbij, en dan bedoelen we niet op de kaart. Die kaart is overigens niet echt creatief: runderbouillon, carpaccio, entrecote, ribeye en gebakken zalm zijn niet de gerechten die we gewend zijn in deze streek aan te treffen. Maar... van de mayonaise tot de kletskoppen en truffels bij de koffie, alles is huisgemaakt. Als afsluiting van de avond krijg je van de eigenaar/auteur een fotoboek mee naar huis. Een goede prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding, wel jammer dat de gastvrijheid toen wij er waren ietwat te wensen overliet.
