Slechts twee panden naar links van The French Cafe heeft vermaard chef Grégory een filiaal geopend. TFC Bistrot is een kleiner broertje met simpeler formule-style, maar niet minder lekker eten. Voor het geringe bedrag van 24 euri eet je hier twee écht Franse gangetjes. Bijvoorbeeld escargots (zoals je ze kent van vakantie, met veel groene kruiden), een prima steak tartare met dunne frites of een goed gevulde salade. ‘Next door’ is de setting ook wat meer basic. De smalle bistrotafeltjes en krappe stoeltjes staan naar goed Parijs gebruik, lekker dicht op elkaar, en het witte linnen ontbreekt. Vanuit bijna elke plek kijk je direct op de bar en in de keuken. Voldoende reuring, dus! Als je een adres zoekt voor een prima Franse lunch (of diner) en niet teveel geld wilt uitgeven is dit ‘la place pour vous!’ Bij mooi weer op het kleine maar fijne terras.

Such as snails (just like you know them from your French vacations, with lots of fresh herbs), a fine steak tartare with thin fries or a rich salad. ‘Next door’ the setting is a bit more basic. Conforming to Paris standards, the tiny bistro tables and chairs are tightly packed, and there is no table linen. From almost any spot you have a view on the action at the bar and in the kitchen. If you’re looking for a place to have a great French lunch (or dinner) and you don’t want to spend too much money, this is ‘la place pour vous!’ If the weather is nice, you can even enjoy it on the outside terrace.
