De zoete inval bij SpecialBite deze week. Hochis begrijpt niet hoe het mogelijk is dat de oatmeal cookies bij Koekela in Rotterdam zo “heerlijk knapperig en ook zacht, bijna taai kunnen zijn.” Complimenten aan “een heerlijke koekebakker.”
Tamara Meulmeester schrijft over Honeypie in Middelburg: “Voor je het weet ben je een kilo zwaarder en 3 uur verder..tsja kan er niks aan doen, kan er niet weg...oh en de thee..heerlijk. Om over de chocolademelk, de bagels en de cakejes maar te zwijgen. Záááálig.”
‘Bobcat’ at bij Marquee in Amsterdam: “De toetjes zijn "to die for". Sfeervol restaurant en een superleuke coctailbar.”
Soms is een dessert niet eens nodig, iets bij de koffie is dan wel fijn. Zoals bij Sems in Leeuwarden. Han Arets schrijft: “De Koffie-kist bij de koffie is een bekroning van een fijne en sfeervolle avond voor een hele redelijke prijs.”
Maar zoet hoeft niet altijd in het toetje, blijkt. ‘Bluebird’ at bij Plaats1 een gerookte zalm en frambozencompote. “Niet super. De andere 3 gangen waren daarentegen net zo 'avontuurlijk' maar tevens uitstekend qua smaak en combinatie.”
MBokdam’at bij Jiu.nu en at daar een voorproefje op de herfstkaart. “Hertenbiefstuk van de haas, botermals, met kruidnagel chocoladejus. He-le-maal goed.”
En, omdat het zo verrassend was, onthouden we jullie ook de eerste Duitse reactie niet deze week. “Powder” is lyrisch over Blauw in Utrecht: “Auf keinen Fall verpassen wenn Ihr mal in Utrecht sein solltet aber nicht vergessen: Tisch bestellen!!!”
